김호정(Hojung Kim)은 한국 출신의 현대 세라믹 및 설치미술 작가로, 감각과 물질, 감정과 자연, 전통과 현대의 경계를 넘나들며 자신만의 조형 언어를 구축해온 예술가입니다. 조형예술의 기초를 한국에서 다진 후, 영국 왕립예술학교(Royal College of Art)에서 세라믹과 유리를 전공하며 국제적인 시야를 넓혀왔습니다.

Hojung Kim is a contemporary ceramic and installation artist from South Korea who has built a distinctive visual language that traverses the boundaries between material and sensation, emotion and nature, tradition and modernity. After establishing her foundation in sculpture and ceramics in Korea, she expanded her perspective through advanced studies in Ceramics and Glass at the Royal College of Art in London.

Her practice is rooted in ceramics, yet it seamlessly extends into painting, drawing, and installation—allowing her to explore the essential relationship between color, form, and texture. The color blue plays a particularly significant role in her work, symbolizing the infinite expanse of the sky and sea, as well as the depth of time and emotion. Through blue, Kim evokes a quiet sense of awe and introspection, connecting the vastness of nature with the intimacy of human feeling.

In signature series such as Eternal Rhythm of Blue, Origin, and Soil, Truth, Beauty, Kim combines the materiality of clay with the sensibility of painting, creating organic structures that oscillate between curved and flat surfaces.
