ABOUT
New York, NY – Space776 is pleased to present Dot & Line, a solo exhibition of paintings by Jina Kwon. The exhibition invites audiences to explore Kwon’s captivating world of color and form, as she redefines the interplay between abstraction, personal expression, and emotional resonance.
In Dot & Line, Kwon employs a dynamic palette of bold, vivid colors and energetic shapes to create a striking visual language that transcends mere aesthetics. Through playful yet purposeful compositions, Kwon weaves geometric forms and rhythmic patterns together, transforming them into narratives about balance, movement, pattern and form, and the impact of color on our emotional well-being. Each painting in the show exudes a sense of playfulness and freedom, embodying the artist’s belief that art should be accessible, uplifting, and deeply resonant with everyday human experience.
“My art is an exploration of the ways that color and form can influence our emotions and outlook on life,” says Kwon. “I believe art has the power to elevate our spirits and create a positive atmosphere in our surroundings, which is why I approach each piece with a focus on its emotional impact.” Through her practice, she reminds us that art is not just something to observe—it is something to experience.
