Jisoc Han is a visual artist who navigates the boundaries between painting and sculpture, language and space, exploring the relationships between the individual and society, memory and symbolism. Born in Seoul, Han has developed a distinctive visual language grounded in critical artistic practice, combining text, symbols, and the physicality of materials.

Drawing inspiration from poetry, philosophy, and architectural structures, Han’s work gives form to the gaps between meaning and shape, as well as the fluid dynamics of emotion and perception. In his signature series, he transforms words and sentences into spatial objects using diverse materials such as paper, wood, glass, and metal—inviting viewers to simultaneously read and observe.

Guided by the belief that “language is form, and silence is space,” Han constructs temporal structures in which meaning gradually unfolds, transcending conventional definitions of painting or sculpture.
