Mary McGee is a young visual artist based in New York, working across drawing, painting, text, and installation. Her practice explores the complex intersections of emotion, memory, femininity, identity, faith, and institutional structures. Through a deeply personal visual language composed of intimate symbols and emotional residue, McGee creates artworks that resonate with viewers on a profoundly emotional level.

Drawing from religious iconography, text, and fragments of everyday emotional experience, McGee’s works often take the form of pastel and drawing-based compositions with soft yet intense coloration.
