Space776 is pleased to announce Japanese and Korean Contemporary Artists, an exhibition of work by Rim Chae, Alex Jo, Joohyun Kang, Candy Koh, Jourdain Jongwon Lee, Shuto Okayasu, Yusuke Ochiai, Saehyun Paik, Enzo Lee and Yuya Saito at the Rink Level Gallery in Rockefeller Center, focused on the cross-cultural practice of artists who span generations and represent a diversity of backgrounds.
Contemporary Art in New York City Through the Korean, Japanese American Experience explores the practice of ten artists who offer their unique perspectives to the vibrant cultural fabric of New York City. Each artist hails from Korea, Japan, or a different part of the U.S., and have chosen NYC as their home.
This exhibition spotlights the cross-cultural practice of these artists spanning generations and representing a diversity of backgrounds. Their journeys and inspirations have shaped their work into a dynamic blend of tradition, creativity, and cross-continental dialogue.
