Sangyong Lee, born in Gongju, Chungcheongnam-do, South Korea, is a contemporary artist who divides his time between Korea and New York. His work explores the themes of everyday scenes, social landscapes, and the human psyche, creating a painterly world where lyricism and symbolism converge.

Through restrained color palettes, fluid brushstrokes, and the meticulous layering of translucent pigments, Lee investigates the boundary between reality and imagination.
