HyeGyung Kim is a media artist, author, and design educator based in Korea. She received her MFA in Digital Media Design from Hongik University and her PhD in Visual & Multimedia Design from HanYang University in Korea. She is an adjunct faculty at Sookmyung Women's University, HanYang University, and SungKyunGwan University. Kim has participated in numerous exhibitions including the 2020 Dubai Expo for Arts and Culture’s Media Art event and the 2017 Cheongju International Craft Biennale in Korea. She received the 2016 Red Dot Design Award and the 2015 New Art Wave International Artists Award.

This is projection mapping style artwork on Korean traditional celadon bottle which is a representative work of the 12th century, the peak period of Goryeo celadon. I wanted to reinterpret lively Korean traditional patterns in connotation of auspicious meaning in a contemporary style.
