Patrick Bower is an artist living and working in New York City. After earning degrees in English and Classical Literature in 2001, he spent years writing poetry and songs and playing music all over the world. But after health challenges forced a change in lifestyle, he directed his focus to his studio practice, bringing the lyricism and immediacy of musical performance to paper and canvas. Patrick’s work explores the loneliness and broken connections so pervasive in our times. His process mirrors this struggle to reclaim the lost, using imperfect tools to bring form and meaning to unruly pools of watery graphite and paint—before the moment and the image are gone forever.
